I heard the news when it broke last night and have been watching MSNBCs coverage into the early a.m.
Kennedy's death was anticipated, but it's a shame that he couldn't live to see the fruits of his long-time labor, a national health care system. It reminds me how much he devoted his political life to the health and welfare of all of us, advocating civil liberties and human rights for the poorest and most powerless, speaking truth to power. I hope his spirit will guide and give strength to Obama.
His legacy lives on.
